(Ken Hupp - KPUA) Circuit Judge Greg Nakamura has rejected a Puna man’s request for probation and drug treatment after pleading guilty to multiple counts of burglary, theft and drug offenses.
38-year old Jesse Robert Murray instead received a 10-year term for the charge of first degree burglary and 5 years for each of the remaining counts with the prison terms to run concurrently.
He was also ordered to pay nearly $163,000 in restitution to his many victims. Murray was arrested for a series of home and business break-ins in the Puna District in 2011 and 2012 that were captured on various surveillance videos.
