(Ken Hupp - KPUA) Fire investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that consumed a house in Holualoa early Wednesday.
Fire units arrived on scene shortly before 6:00 a.m. to find the two-story wooden structure northeast of Hualalai Road and Highway 180 fully engulfed in flames. No other structures were damaged in the fire which was brought under control around 6:30 a.m. and extinguished by 7:00 a.m. All occupants were safely evacuated and are being assisted by the Red Cross.

The fire temporarily closed traffic at Route 180 between Holualoa Elementary School and Hualalai Road.
