(KPUA) County Civil Defense officials say the Hakalau siren north of mile marker 15 on Highway 19 and Chin Chuck Road will be tested tomorrow between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
The siren was rendered non-operational following a car accident in 2011 and was recently replaced with an upgraded system. Data gathered from the test will help technicians verify its operational status.
Area residents may hear the siren sound for 30 seconds during the identified time periods.
