HALEAKALA NATIONAL PARK, Hawaii (AP) National Park Service officials say Haleakala National Park on Maui has reopened after bad weather from a tropical depression.
The service said the popular park surrounding the volcano reopened Tuesday morning after seeing minimal damage from Tropical Depression Flossie.
Officials say crews are still working to clear roads and trails of rock and tree debris. That will cause delays for some visitors.
Officials say they're also resuming work to improve the parking lot after a one day delay.
Flossie weakened from a storm to a depression as it passed over Hawaii Monday and early Tuesday.
Parts of Maui lost power and saw significant thunderstorms as Flossie passed.
