Hilo leads statewide drop in Hawai`i gas prices

(Ken Hupp - KPUA) Retail gas prices fell throughout Hawai`i, including by a dime a gallon in Hilo, over the past week, according to the AAA Hawai`i Weekend Gas Watch. The statewide average for a gallon of regular unleaded dropped by 10 cents from the previous week to $4.31 per gallon which also was a dime less than last month and 14 cents higher than last year. Hilo matched that 10 cent drop as its average price fell to $4.36 a gallon, which is a nickel less than last month and four cents more than this time last year.
