Honoka`a home damaged by fire

(Ken Hupp-KPUA) Fire investigators are trying to determine what caused the Friday night fire that did $30,000 damage to a home on Pohakealani Road in Honoka`a. Fire personnel arriving on scene at 10:29 p.m. say quick work by the homeowner kept the fire mostly confined to the storage room where it began approximately 30 minutes earlier. 

 

The fire was starting to flash into the living area of the single family home, but firefighters had the blaze under control less than 10 minutes later and extinguished in roughly an hour.
