A winter storm brought heavy showers to some Big Island areas and snow to Mauna Kea Wednesday afternoon. More stormy weather is forecast late tonight on Hawai`i island, where a flood watch and a winter storm warning are posted.
An earlier flood advisory was lifted after rains eased. But the National Weather Service says more rain is on the way. The flash flood watch and winter storm warning are scheduled to continue through 6 a.m. Friday. The weather should gradually dry out by early next week, although we may still have a wet weekend.
