A new study finds the City of Kodiak has the priciest men's haircut in the nation, on average at $26.67 a cut. The national average is $13.95 a cut. The Kodiak Daily Mirror reports the figure is included in a state Labor Department report comparing cost of living data for more than 300 cities.

A new study just proved that the nerds-wear-glasses stereotype is actually DEAD ON.
Researchers in Germany studied 4,658 people and found the smarter you are, the more likely you are to need glasses.
They used people's level of education as a way to measure intelligence, and found that 24% of high school dropouts are nearsighted and wear glasses . . . versus 35% of high school graduates and 53% of college graduates.
The researchers think it's a sign your eyesight is affected by how you spend your time . . . educated people spend more time staring at books and computer screens, which hurts their vision.
