Man reportedly threatened on UH Hilo campus



Police are asking the public for help in finding a suspect and vehicle being sought in connection with a reported threat Monday morning on the University of Hawai`i at Hilo campus. 

A 25-year old man claiming to be a University employee contacted police shortly after 10:00 a.m. and said he was accosted about an hour earlier by a local male, who brandished a firearm and pointed it at him before fleeing in a black Toyota pickup truck. 

The suspect was described as a local male in his 30s with a dark complexion, neatly trimmed beard with long sideburns to his chin and was wearing dark sunglasses. The truck was described as a lifted black Toyota Tacoma with black rims, dark, black tint and a white NSPYR sticker near the gas fill cover.
