(KPUA) The committee charged with finding a new University of Hawai`i President will meet today in executive session amid signs that their search is nearing an end.
Search committee chair and UH Regent Carl Carlson says the panel has screened, vetted, and produced a short lost of applicants and nominees and said the group would recommend between 5 and six candidates from which the board of regents would select three finalists.
Carlson said hes confident the university can fill the presidents post by June 30. Longtime chief information officer, David Lassner, has been serving as interim president since September, when former President M.R.C. Greenwood stepped down.
