(KPUA) The University of Hawai`is Presidential Search Committee has completed its work and will send a final report to the Board of Regents for its special meeting on April 28.
Search Committee Chair and Regent Carl Carlson said the list from which the board will select three finalists has fewer than five names, after some candidates withdrew due to the public nature of the search process. Carlson said hes confident the university can fill the presidents post by June 30.
Longtime chief information officer, David Lassner, has been serving as interim president since September, when former President M.R.C. Greenwood stepped down.
