Vulcans swept by HPU in season finale



(KPUA) The 2014 season came to an end for the University of Hawai`i at Hilo baseball team Sunday as the Vulcans dropped a doubleheader to Hawai`i Pacific University at Wong Stadium, by scores of 15-2 and 6-0. 

It was also the final curtain call for 11 seniors. The two teams ended up splitting their six game series as the Vulcans swept the Sea Warriors by scores of 4-3 and 4-1 on Saturday, and split Fridays twinbill with the Vulcans losing the opener 10-1, but winning the nightcap 7-4. 

UH Hilo finishes the season with a record of 14-33 with a 9-21 mark in conference play.
