UH Hilo Pharmacy dean leaving

(KPUA) The founding dean of the University of Hawaii at Hilo's Daniel K. Inouye College of Pharmacy will be leaving his post at the end of the year.
John Pezzuto informed friends and colleagues last week by email that he will be leaving the job he has held since 2006 Pezzuto will become professor and dean of the Arnold and Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Long Island University in Brooklyn, New York. News of his departure comes several weeks after the legislature appropriated $33 million to provide a permanent home for the college.
The University said it plans to conduct a nationwide search to find a replacement for Pezzuto, who is the only dean the college has ever had.
