Tropical Depression 4E update – 11am Wednesday

Here’s the latest from Hawaii County Civil Defense~

As of 5:00am this morning Hawaii Time, Tropical Depression 4E was located approximately 1060 miles east/southeast of Honolulu and moving in a northwest direction at 16 miles per hour.  The system currently has sustained winds of up to 35 miles per hour with higher gusts.  The system has not strengthened over the night and continues to be tracked and monitored by the National Weather Service.

The Civil Defense Agency will be maintaining close communication with the National Weather Service and additional updates will be made as conditions change.  No watches or warnings are in effect at this time.  The community is reminded that hurricane season for Hawaii runs from June through November and everyone is encouraged to plan and prepare for all hazards that pose a threat to our community.
