Avoid Kuakini Highway in Kailua-Kona for the next 10 hours due to a down tree on pole incident.
It occurred on Kuakini fronting Kona Brewing Company.
The specific area closed is between Palani Road and Kawiki Street.
A wind advisory has been issued for Hawaii Island as Kona is getting strong north winds around 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.. That advisory in effect until 6pm this evening.
Again, closure is expected for the next 10 hours as of this update (Tuesday 12:22pm)
