A Flash Flood Warning remains in effect for Hawai’i Island.
HPD reports the following roads are closed at this time:
- HWY 19 between Waimea and Honokaa near 47 Mile Marker in Hamakua
- Wood Valley Road in Ka`u
- HWY 11 between the 57 and 61 Mile Markers in Ka`u
- HWY 11 near the 16 Mile Markers cross street Mauna Loa Drive in Puna
- S. Kopua and Kahiopele Street in Upper Puna
- Bayfront Highway in Hilo
- Kamehameha Avenue and Pauahi Street in Hilo
- Daniel K. Inouye Highway between the 11 and 18 Mile Markers
Due to the road closures, please avoid these areas and stay off the roads where possible.
