Ten visitors land in Kona on Sunday

The Hawaii Tourism Authority announced that 10 visitors from out of state arrived in Kona on Sunday, an increase in the visitor count.  In addition, 42 residents and 6 “intended new residents” arrived on the three flights that came in.   Statewide, 583 people arrived from out of state, which included 126 visitors and 35 intended new residents.

On Saturday, 4 visitors and 4 intended new residents arrived in Kona.  On Friday, it was 2 visitors and 6 intended new residents.  HTA did not provide any additional information about the visitors who have arrived.

All incoming passengers must self quarantine for 14 days, whether residents or anybody else.  On Saturday, Kona and Hilo Airports Manager Chauncey Wong Yuen said National Guard personnel are now on duty at the airport and as of today,  will be providing temperature screenings of all arrivals and referring for additional medical screenings as appropriate.

Below are the latest statistics provide by HTA for the Sunday, April 5 arrivals from out of state.  Interisland travel is not included in this chart.
