Reminder: COVID screening, testing, Saturday in Hilo

The usual Sunday COVID-19 drive-through screening and testing for this week has been moved from Sunday, April 12 (Easter Sunday) to Saturday, April 11, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.  Come in through the Pi’ilani/Hinano entrance.

The screening will be done by Premier Medical Group and Bay Clinic with the support of the County of Hawai`i COVID-19 Task Force.

This free clinic is open to the public.  On-site clinic physicians will screen individuals to see if they meet testing criteria, based on guidance of the CDC and the State’s COVID-19 Response Task Force–usually it’s symptoms such as dry cough, fever, difficulty in breathing, sudden loss of taste or smell, or exposure to a confirmed COVID-19 victim.

People who visit the screening clinic will be asked to show photo ID.  Additionally, people are requested to bring their own pen, and any health insurance cards they have, although insurance is not required.

After Easter Sunday, testing will revert to Sundays at Hilo Civic.
