Worship services go online and on TV for Easter

Easter is considered the most sacred and most important day in the Christian calendar.   It’s also the day that gets more church attendance than any other.   This year, because of COVID-19, people will not be able to physically come together.  But many churches are offering services online or on television.  Just a few of them include, in time order:

 

 

St. Jude Episcopal in Ocean View has already posted its Easter message online.

Il Duomo Cathedral in Milan features Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli in a musical prayer for hope Sunday live at 7 a.m. on Bocelli’s You Tube channel.

Living  Stones Church on Ali’i Drive at Royal Poinciana will conduct online services Sunday at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 6 p.m.

Mokaikaua Church in Kailua Village, the oldest Christian Church in the State, will offer services online at https://mokuaikaua.com/ and on Facebook starting at 9 a.m.   People may also call in at  +1 669 900 6833 Meeting ID: 623 987 157

Haile Church in Hilo offers services on Sunday starting  with an organ interlude at 9:45 a.m.  The Haili Church Virtual Easter Services will begin live at https://www.facebook.com/HailiCongregationalChurch/

Catholic Bishop Larry Silva will offer mass on Sunday at noon on Hawaii News Now/KHNL 8, or online at hawaiinewsnow.com.  The Church has  tips on how to prepare and join in online at https://www.catholichawaii.org/covid19livestreammasses

Mana Christian Ohana, a non-denominational Christian Church in Waimea will post its Easter Sunday service sometime Sunday.

 

There are also many national services that will be online or air on television on Sunday.
