308 visitors to state in past 2 days; Kona had 8 on Tues

Hawaii Tourism Authority says that 8 visitors arrived in Kona on the evening Delta flight on Tuesday.  Wednesday there is no incoming flight from off island.  On Tuesday, a total of 121 visitors arrived statewide, 109 to O’ahu and 4 to Kaua’i.  On Wednesday, HTA counted 187 visitors– 160 to O’ahu, 20 to Maui, and 7 to Kaua’i.  It has now been 5 weeks since Governor David Ige imposed the mandatory 14-day quarantine for everybody arriving on any flight, with some limited exceptions.  And now, the Hawaii National Guard is assisting with arrivals, which includes taking temperatures, verifying cell phone contact numbers by calling the passenger’s number, confirming directly with the hotel or place of lodging and informing them of the required quarantine.

Crew = flight crew members
Intended Resident = people who are moving to Hawaii such as military members and their families, and former residents who intend to live in Hawaii
Resident = people who have a Hawaii ID
Transit = people who are in transit to another location through Hawaii and aren’t leaving the airport
Visitor = people who do not have a Hawaii ID including essential health care workers, essential federal workers, former residents such as mainland college students coming to stay with family, military on temporary assignment, and leisure travelers
