The Kona Marathon, which was scheduled for its 27th running on June 21, 2020, is cancelled for 2020, because of the current COVID-19 issues.
Race organizers said they had hoped the June race date would be unaffected by the COVID-19 crisis, but it became clear that training and traveling in connection with the Kona Marathon plus the half marathon, quarter marathon, and Kona 5K, would be a challenge….and right now it’s not clear what the situation would be in June.
But participants can plan ahead–the next UCC COFFEE Kona Marathon is now scheduled–tentatively–for June 20, 2021, at the Waikoloa Beach Resort on the Kohala Coast.
All those who have registered for 2020 will be automatically registered for the 2021 event.
