The Hawaii statistics are courtesy Hawaii State Department of Health.  With the state’s count at single digits for more than 14 days, businesses are starting to reopen, but are subject to social distancing and cleaning requirement.   In Hawaii County, everybody going into a retail establishment or working there must wear a face covering or mask, except for those under 5 or with a medical condition that prevents it.  The State Department of Health says this is to prevent somebody who unknowingly has COVID-19 from spreading it, since many who have it have no symptoms.

Lt. Governor Dr. Josh Green said Thursday evening at the Waimea Town Virtual Meeting that there have been more than 34,000 tests done in the state, with 1.73% testing positive.
