Governor extends 14-day travel quarantine through June

Governor David Ige today announced that he is extending the 14-day traveler quarantine for anybody coming into the state, and for interisland travelers.

There continue to be quarantine exemptions for interisland travelers who are traveling for health care.  In addition, essential workers are allowed to break quarantine to perform the essential function, but otherwise must stay in quarantine for the 14 days, or shorter if their trip is shorter than two weeks.

In April, the State Department of Transportation issued guidelines for those coming into the state.  Attorney General Clare Connors said the state continues to work on how to make the quarantine process effective.
