State adds 41 cases, including 1 Big Island, 2 Kaua’i, O’ahu 38

The State of Hawaii has recorded the highest count of new COVID-19 cases since counting began, with 41 new cases.  This brings the state’s total to 1,071.  Of those, 797 have been released from Department of Health monitoring.

The State’s Lieutenant Governor, Josh Green, M.D., expressed grave concern that the virus can “get away from us,” in a Tuesday morning conversation with the Honoluu Star Advertiser.

Maui County added no cases.  The Big Island has added 1 new case to its count, for a cumulative 95, of which 87 have been released from isolation, and 8 active cases being monitored.

Kaua’i added 2, for a cumulative 42, of which 35 have been released from isolation.

O’ahu added 38 cases, for a cumulative 788, of which 599 have been released from isolation.
