According to State Department of Health, the number of tests for COVID done by all state labs to date is more than 130,000, with 2,448 positive cases in the State.  In a Monday press conference State Health Director Bruce Anderson said although the overall positive rate of tests in the state has been under 2%, tests done in the past few weeks have shown a rise in positive rate to more than 4%, and on some days, up to 6%.   Anderson said this indicates the coronavirus is endemic in the community, and that the state is facing wide community spread.

In Hawaii County, 22,340 tests have been performed.  Hawaii County has had 117 cumulative cases with 2 active right now.   The week of April 18, the positive rate for Hawaii County was 3.9%, but that was a spike.   In Hawaii County for the last 7 days, the positivity rate has been .2%.

The state has had a cumulative 2,448 cases.  As of Monday afternoon, 922 were active, mostly on O’ahu.  Hawaii County Civil Defense reports that as of this morning, there are 3 active cases on the island.
