Made in Hawaii Festival online today and Sunday

The Made in Hawaii Festival is a three-day festival celebrating all things made in Hawaii, a plethora of local products.   While usually held at the Blaisdell Center in Honoluu, this year it’s all online because of COVID-19.

There are more than 1200 items for sale on the website, plus cooking demonstrations and live-streaming cooking demonstrations.  There are also videos to “Meet the Makers,” those who are creating, baking, designing, and doing all that’s needed to bring Hawaii products to market.  The Big Island is represented by several local businesses.  That includes Upcycle Hawaii, with Mattie Mae Larson explaining how she turns plastic wrap and other reclaimed materials into bags and other usable products.
