State adds 90 COVID; island adds 6 for 157 active cases

The State Department of Health reports there are 90 new cases of COVID-19 today. The state’s cumulative count is 11,779 , with around 6,390 active cases.  The State is reporting 124 deaths, which does not include all of Hawaii County’s 28 deaths.  The State says it has only confirmed 15 deaths on the island and must analyze the information.

Hawaii County has added 6 new cases (the State says one was removed from the Big Island’s overall count due to updated information).  The County’s total is 677, with approximately 157 active cases.  Of the 28 people who perished from COVID-19 on the island,  26 of those were part of Yukio Okutsu Veterans Center.

Kaua’i again had no cases.  There are 2 new cases in residents who are out of state, and Maui added 2.  O’ahu added 80 cases of COVID-19.
