COVID: world 32M cases, US 6.9M cases and 203K deaths

The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Friday, September 25, at 5:23 a.m.:

Worldwide cases:  32,308,999    Worldwide deaths: 984,278

U.S. cases: 6,987,129   U.S. deaths:  203,015

According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide case report increased by 364,961 in the last 24 hours.  Deaths worldwide increased by  6,397.

According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 45,881 cases in the last 24 hours.  In that time,  the number of reported deaths from  COVID-19 increased by 845.

The United States has the most reported COVID-19 cases in the world.  The U.S. is followed by India, Brazil, Russia, Columbia, Peru, Mexico, Spain, and Argentina.

Hawaii currently has 11,779 total cases, with around 6,390 cases.  On Thursday, the state reported an increase of 90, the third time in four days the count has been under 100.  Hawaii Island has 677 total cases with around 157 active cases.  The island has lost 28 people to COVID-19 as of Thursday, 26 of them from the Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home.  Statewide, the official State Department of Health death toll is listed at 124.
