State adds 112 new COVID–Big Island adds 14

The State Department of Health reports 112 new cases of COVID-19 in the state.

There is one new case on Kaua’i, the first in many days, and 97 on O’ahu.  The Big Island added 14 cases, and according to the State Department of Health website, there are 9 “probable” additional cases, though it’s not clear when the information on when those cases will be ruled in or out.  The island has suffered the loss of 28 people due to COVID-19, but only 15 are in the state’s official count.  There are around 158 active cases on the island.  That number is the total number of cases (691) minus those released from isolation (505) minus the deaths (28).
