World COVID at 36.9M, deaths 1M, US 7.6M cases, 213K deaths

The Johns Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard for Saturday, October 10, at 5:23 a.m.:

Worldwide cases: 36,958,704   Worldwide deaths:  1,069,315

U.S. cases: 7,670,419   U.S. deaths:  213,860

According to the Dashboard, the reported worldwide case report increased by 333,491 in the last 24 hours.  Deaths worldwide increased by 5,934.

According to the Johns Hopkins Dashboard, the United States has added 58,647 cases in the last 24 hours.  In that time,  the number of reported deaths from  COVID-19 increased by 1,020.

On Friday, the Big Island had its biggest confirmed daily case increase since the start of this pandemic, with 45 new cases.  There are 911 total cases, with around 206 active.  There have been 36 deaths on the island attributed to COVID-19.

The total COVID-19 case count statewide is 13,300. There are around 2,483 active COVID-19 cases.
