UH rolls out Fast Pass plan for easier application process

University of Hawaii has announced a new “Fast Pass” plan for  high school seniors who wish to apply for  Fall, 2021.  The intent is to streamline the application process to the four-year schools, and  eliminate barriers that prevent students from enrolling in post-secondary education.

The program is based on students’ GPA in high school. Based on that, UH Hilo will offer a conditional letter of acceptance to their campus, while UH Mānoa and UH West Oʻahu will offer special invitations to apply.

In addition, UH will include an application fee waiver for those with financial circumstances.

The letters will be out this week.

More details:

  • Students may receive multiple letters depending on their GPA.

           – UH Mānoa: 3.5 GPA—invitation to apply

– UH West Oʻahu: 2.70 GPA—invitation to apply

– UH Hilo: 2.70 GPA—conditional offer of acceptance

If you have received a letter from a UH Campus, please refer to it for additional details on next steps on how to apply. If you have any questions, please contact:
