Ten in island hospitals with COVID–KCH reports 2 new deaths

Kona Community Hospital yesterday reported they have now had 4 deaths due to COVID-19, an increase of two since their previous report.  They have 5 COVID-19 patients in the facility, 1 in the ICU on a ventilator and 4 in the Med-Surg Acute Care Unit.  All COVID-19 patients are isolated from others.

Hilo Medical Center reports that as of Monday, they have 4 COVID-19 patients in the COVID Unit, and none in the Intensive Care Unit.

Yesterday Hawaii County Civil Defense said there were 10 patients in the island’s hospitals with COVID-19.

North Hawaii Community Hospital has said it’s a violation of privacy rules to report how many COVID-19 patients it has.
