State adds 95 new cases of COVID since Saturday

The State of Hawaii has confirmed 95 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the State’s total to 16,613.  The state did not issue a report on Sunday, so 95 is a two-day total increase.

O’ahu added 76 cases, Maui Island added 7 new cases.  There are 2 more on Kaua’i and 2 in Hawaii residents who are out of state.  Neither Lanai nor Moloka’i have any new cases.

According to the State Department of Health, the Big Island now has a cumulative 1,479 cases, which is 8 more than on Saturday, Nov. 14, the last day for which the State provided a report.  But Hawaii County Civil Defense on Sunday said the island had 9 new cases, and earlier today Hawaii County Civil Defense said the island had 6 new cases.  That would make 15 new cases on Sunday and Monday, 7 more than what the State Department of Health is reporting.  New West Broadcasting has inquiries in to both Hawaii County Civil Defense and to the State COVID Joint Information Center to try to resolve the difference.
