State:+120; island: +11 COVID

The State Department of Health has reported 120 new cases of COVID-19 on this Thanksgiving Day–but these are numbers from Tuesday, Nov. 24, now that the state has started reporting numbers from 36 hours earlier.  The state’s total count is now 17,618.  The state is reporting 237 deaths from COVID.

The new cases include 90 on O’ahu,  13 on Maui, and 3 on Kaua’i.   Neither Moloka’i nor Lana’i have any new cases.  There are no new cases reported in Hawaii residents who are out of state.

The Big Island has 11 new cases today, bringing the island’s total to 1,569.  The island has had 132 new cases in the 14 days leading up to last Tuesday.  The island has lost 49 people to COVID-19, but only 32 are included in the state’s official death toll.
