U.S. COVID-19 Cases now over 21 Million While Hawaiʻi Numbers Increase

As of 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, January 7, 2021, The Johns Hopkins Dashboard reports the number of global COVID-19 cases is now 87, 434, 105.  The number of global COVID-19 deaths now stands at 1,886, 921.  The U.S. now has over 21 million COVID-19 cases with 21,314,415.  The U.S. death toll is 361, 900.

On January 6, 2021, the Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 143 new COVID-19 cases in the state of Hawaiʻi. On Hawaiʻi Island, the number reported was 8 new cases  with 2 persons hospitalized.  There have been no deaths reported in the last week.

Cumulatively, the State of Hawaiʻi has had 22,310 Coronavirus cases and 299 deaths.
