Hawaiʻi Has 7th Highest Vaccination Rate in the U.S.

(AP) — Hawaiʻi has given more than a half of a million COVID-19 vaccines as of Wednesday, March 17, 2021. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported that nearly 560,000 shots have been administered in the islands according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention COVID-19 data tracker. Data shows the state ranks seventh in the nation for vaccinations with a rate of 39,489 doses per 100,000 residents. Lt. Gov. Josh Green said by April 1 the state hopes to reach a total of 600,000 shots, and 900,000 by May 1. He said about 10,000 vaccines are being put in arms each day.
