In an effort to engage with the South Kohala community, the Hawaiʻi Police Department’s South Kohala Community Policing Section is inviting the public to join them for two “Coffee with a Cop” events in Waimea.
The events will be held from 8 a.m. til 11 a.m. on the following dates.
- Friday, May 21, 2021, at Waimea Coffee Co., 65-1279 Kawaihae Road
- Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Starbucks, Parker Ranch Center, 67-1185 Māmalahoa Highway.
“Coffee with a Cop” encourages community members to get to know their police officers over a cup of coffee. The events have no agenda and topics of conversation can range from sharing personal stories to discussing neighborhood issues.
All social distancing and COVID-19 restrictions will be enforced.
Events may be subject to change with regard to COVID-19 restrictions and or additional proclamations issued by county and state government.
