On the morning of Wednesday, August 18, 2021 the gates at the Old Kona Airport County Park will be closed for at least a half day to permit safe spraying to control the fire ant population. Gates will remain closed until the treatment has dried and the park determined safe for use. The closure will affect the tennis courts, playground, walking path and beach pavilions. The pool and gym complex will not be affected by this closure.
