Pa‘auilo Man Indicted in Federal Court for Conspiracy and Drug Offenses

Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced the U.S. Attorney’s Office, District of Hawai‘i, has adopted the prosecution of 44 year-old Timothy Nacis of Pa‘auilo.  Nacis was previously charged by Hawai‘i County Prosecutors following his January 3rd arrest for the attempted possession and distribution of over 5 pounds of methamphetamine and damaging a police subsidized vehicle.

As the Federal Indictment alleges, Nacis was charged with Conspiracy to Distribute (conspire to distribute and to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams of more methamphetamine) and Possess with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Attempted Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine (attempt to possess with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of methamphetamine).

On February 14, 2022, U.S. District Court Magistrate Judge Wes Reber Porter ordered that Nacis be released on a $50,000.00 bond with special conditions. His jury trial is scheduled for April 11, 2022.

The investigation was a collaboration between local and federal agencies including the Hawai‘i Police Department’s Area I Vice Section and Area I Special Enforcement Units and U.S. Department of Homeland Security Investigations. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mohammad Khatib.

The charges are merely allegations, and the Defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
