HPD Looking To Identify Hilo Theft Suspects

Hawai‘i Island police are asking the public to help them identify suspects involved in a pair of robberies that occurred at two different retail clothing stores on the 100 block of Puainako Street in Hilo on Saturday, June 18.
The first robbery involved three suspects who entered a store and removed an undisclosed amount of clothing totaling more than $500. One of the suspects injured a store employee.

In photos the first of the three suspects appears to be a 5ʻ8″ Caucasian with reddish hair, a light freckled complexion and a skinny build.  The second suspect appears to be local with a thin build and tan complexion, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and brown hair. He is shown carrying an Adidas brand gym/duffel bag on his right side and wearing a pair of red and black slippers. The third suspect also appears to be local with a thin build and dark complexion, 5 feet 11 inches tall, and dark hair. He is shown with a hoop earring on his left ear, wearing sunglasses and a gold-colored wristwatch on his left wrist.

During the second robbery, two suspects entered a retail clothing store and removed an undisclosed amount of clothing totaling more than $90. One of the suspects assaulted a store employee after the theft and both suspects fled the store in a silver-colored hatchback sedan, heading west on Puainako Street.
