As part of Child Passenger Safety Awareness Week, which highlights the importance of ensuring children are properly secured in an appropriate car seat or seat belt, the Hawai’i County Police Department will be participating in a Child Safety Seat Inspection event at the Kona Target parking lot between the hours of 9am and 4pm tomorrow.
Technicians will be available to help inspect car seats to make they properly installed and deand show how to properly install them.
The Keiki Injury Prevention Coalition (KIPC), Adventist Health Castle, and Kiwanis Club of East Hawai’i have organized the free car seat checks on Hawai’i Island and Oʻahu.
