Woman Suffers Fatal Medical Emergency at Puna Store

Hawai‘i Island police have initiated a coroner’s inquest investigation after a 66-year old Mountain View woman died at a convenience store in Glenwood yesterday.
The woman experienced a medical emergency while sitting in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle in the store’s parking lot.
After Hawaiʻi County Fire Department personnel unsuccessfully administered life saving measures on the woman she was transported to Hilo Medical Center for pronouncement of death.
An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the exact cause of death although no foul play is suspected.
