Police Arrest and Charge Hilo Woman Following Stabbing Incident

Hawai‘i Island police have arrested and charged 34-year-old Tabree Pea of Hilo with several offenses following a domestic incident on Monday, October 24.
 
South Hilo patrol officers responded to a Puueo Street residence after receiving a call regarding an unknown disturbance.  Upon arrival they discovered a male bleeding from his upper left leg area.  The victim reported being stabbed by Pea during an argument at the residence.
Pea fled the scene on foot heading towards downtown Hilo where she was located near the library and arrested without incident.
During the arrest, a zip-lock bag with a crystal-like substance was located on the ground next to Pea. She was also in possession of a glass smoking pipe with residue. The substance and pipe residue  tested presumptive positive for methamphetamines.
After conferring with the County Prosecutor’s Office, detectives charged Pea with second-degree assault, abuse of a family household member, and third-degree promotion of a dangerous drug.
