As of approximately 3:30 p.m yesterday, the percentage containment of the Keamuku wildfires was the same as previously reported. The small fire near Mamalahoa Highway remained at about 90 percent contained, while the larger fire in the interior hills of Keamuku Maneuver Area remained nearly 70 percent contained.
Combined, the fires have burned between 1,500 and 1,800 acres; however there currently is no threat to the community.
PTA and Civil Defense will continue to update the public of any changes.
