Tour Plane Aborts Takeoff at Kona Airport

Yesterday morning, a twin-engine Cessna P337H tour plane containing five people crashed after aborting its takeoff outside of a runway at Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport.

Fire crews responded when the plane came to rest in a runway safety area. No one was seriously injured.

The FAA has initiated an investigation.
