Kona patrol officers arrested 21-year-old Peter Melling of Kailua-Kona. who was wanted for a recent robbery at a Kailua-Kona shopping center.
Detectives with the Area II Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) arrested Melling for the following offenses:
- One count of Robbery, Second Degree
- One count of Assault, Third Degree
After conferral with the County Prosecutor, Melling was charged with the above-mentioned offenses and his bail was set at $22,000.00.
After posting bail, Melling was released. He is scheduled to make his initial Kona District court appearance on May 9.
