Hawai’i County Police Commission Denies Chief Moszkowicz’s Request to Withdraw Resignation

Police Chief Ben Moszkowicz will soon be leaving his post.

Yesterday, the Hawaiʻi County Police Commission denied Moszkowicz’s request to withdraw his resignation.

Last month, Moszkowitz submitted his resignation to become interim chief of the Honolulu Police Department after Mayor Rick Blangiardi recommended him to replace outgoing chief Joe Logan. However, Moszkowitz soon issued a retraction to his resignation, which the Police Commission voted 4-4 not to accept.

Moszkowitzʻs last day as Chief will be August 31.
