Hilo Palace Theater To Host a Weekend of Short Films in Celebration of Pride

In honor of pride month, the Made in Hawaiʻi Film Festival and Hawaiʻi Island PRIDE Chapter will be showcasing a number of short films that celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.  The year’s event, which is themed RISE & PRIDE, will be taking place at the Hilo Palace Theater from Friday, June 18, thru Sunday, June 20, 2021.

The curated lineup of short films, some of which were shot in Hawaiʻi, celebrate diverse perspectives from the LGBTQ+ community with a special focus on Trans and BIPOC experiences.  

Tickets prices are $10 for general admission and $8 for seniors and students. Screening times will take place on Friday June 18th @ 7pm, Saturday June 19th @ 7pm and Sunday June 20th @ 2:30pm
