As of 5pm yesterday, the National Weather Service issued a coastal flood statement for all of Hawaiʻi Island’s low-lying coastal areas due to higher than normal tides through Thursday.
Due to the flooding, beaches and minor coastal erosion can occur.
Residents should secure all property and ocean craft.
