A 61-year-old male visitor from California, identified as Todd Wilt, died on October 6after being pulled from the waters at ‘Anini Beach Park on Kaua‘i.
Following a report of a swimmer in distress, first responders arrived. Wilt was helped to shore but collapsed shortly after. Lifeguards performed CPR, and he was transported to Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy is pending, but foul play is not suspected.
